Our Solutions

Depending on the environment, application, product and local need Oceancrete add what would normally be seen as "waste" material into a mix that creates a better concrete solution.

Ghost Gear

Abandoned fishing nets and ropes (Ghost gear) are the most lethal form of plastic debris to marine life according to wwwf.org and 640 000 tonnes of fishing nets and ropes are lost, discarded or abandoned every year.  Oceancrete shreds this waste into fibres that strengthen concrete at a fraction of the cost of virgin fibres.

Ocean Plastic

There are 5.25 trillion pieces of plastic debris in the ocean!  Numerous studies have identified the benefits of including plastics in the aggregate mix when producing concrete.  Oceancete process these plastics into course and fine aggregate to create a lighter, more sustainable concrete with a lower CO2 footprint.

Biological Material

For environments where you want to encourage marine growth and biodiversity Oceancrete can process materials such as oyster shells and seaweed into the concrete mix to create a better ph balance where the concrete attracts rather than repels marine life.
